VIM/VI is the most popular/favourite text editor under Linux. It is unfortunately not a WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) editor, and therefore, you have to remember some commands before you can frequently use the tool.
However, once you get familiar with the commands, you ‘ll find VI/VIM more powerful than any other text-editor. I would suggest print the above cheat sheet out and paste it on the wall before your work station so you can reference it conveniently.
