Microsoft Rewards is a free program offered by Microsoft that allows you to earn rewards points for doing things you already do, like searching the web with Bing or making purchases from Microsoft’s online store.
Microsoft Rewards Points (MRP) can be earned via many ways, and one of them is to use Edge Browser as your daily (default) browser, and the Bing as your main search engine. The Rewards Points can be redeemed to get different gift cards (Amazon, Tesco etc).
7600 Microsoft Rewards Points are worth of 5 GBP Gift Cards.
Every day, there is a cap of e.g. 30 Points by using the Bing Search (3 points each earch). You can earn more bonus points by using the Edge Browser.
There are daily activies or checkup so you can earn 3×10 points. So on your dashboard, you will be asked a question (you might not now), clicking the link leads to Bing search engine searching for the answer to that question.
That is, suppose you can earn 60 points daily, then 7600/60=126 days, about 4 months, you are rewarded with enough points worth of 5 GBP.
At least, by using Microsoft Edge Browser and Bing Search Engine, you can earn Microsoft Rewards Points. There is no extra work you need to do here – and thus, kinda a passive income.

Microsoft Rewards Points: Paid to Use Promotion
Microsoft Rewards Points (MRP) can also be earned via shopping and gaming. It is Microsoft’s strategy to pay users to use their products. In some sense, it is the CeFi (Centralize Finance) where you can collect and earn points, and then redeem points to real money.
How to Earn Microsoft Rewards Points Fast and Quick?
Here’s how you can earn points with Microsoft Rewards:
- Search with Bing: You can earn points for each Bing search you do on your computer or mobile device. There’s a daily limit to how many points you can earn this way.
- Shop at the Microsoft Store: Whether you’re buying apps, games, movies, or devices, you’ll earn points on every purchase you make from the Microsoft Store, both online and in physical stores.
- Complete Challenges: Microsoft offers various daily, weekly, and monthly challenges that you can complete to earn points. These can include quizzes, surveys, or other interactive activities.
- Use Microsoft Products and Services: You can also earn points by using certain Microsoft products or services, like Xbox.

Solve Daily Set to Earn More Streaks and More Microsoft Points
One tip is to solve daily sets (which includes 3 easy tasks), then you can earn more points with more streaks. Each daily set entitles you 50 points or so. Remember that 7800 points equal to 5 GBP, which means each point is equal to 0.000641025641 GBP and 50 points a day is 0.0320512821 GBP.
Microsoft Edge Extension: Microsoft Rewards
Another tip is to install the Microsoft Rewards Edge Extension which helps you earn Microsoft Points quickly.
Microsoft Rewards is a great way to get a little something back for activities you’d probably be doing anyway, especially if you’re a frequent user of Microsoft products and services.
PS: Microsoft pays users to answer questions. I believe some data can be used to input to Machine Learning Model. So many users participate in data labelling. For example, Google’s Gotcha is said to use the Users’ input to label the data which then feed into Machine Learning models. The first (or one) Gotcha image is used to check if the users input correctedly. Then if answered correctedly, another input is stored to label further data.
60 Days+ Streak – and 5 GBP per 60 days, roughly 0.08 GBP per day.
On 2024, the points required to redeem a 5 GBP Amazon Voucher has been increased to 8125 Points. Yep, the points got inflation as well. It now takes even more effort to redeem to cash. But still, less is still better than nothing, dont’ you think?
It has been four years since I’ve registered the Microsoft Bing Rewards Account. However, I have been only doing this every day since the last year or so. Thank you Microsoft for this 500 Bonus points!
Lots of different sweepstake prizes. It is like a free lottery!
