Two network adapters are very common on the laptops or desktops nowadays. So you can plug in using cable network if there is any. If both of your cable and WiFi are available, in most of the cases, the cable network is preferred.
I usually connect to WiFi automatically when I am at work (I use the laptop). Today, I want to copy some stuffs from the NAS (Network Attach System) and I plug in the cable because in that way, I can use 1000MBits/s speed in LAN (Local Access Network).
Right click the adapter icon (at the bottom right of the task bar [Open Network and Sharing Center]) or you can go to control panel, and then Click the [Network and Sharing Center]. Click the [Change the Adapter Setting] on the left hand side.
A list of current Adapters are shown here, Press [ALT] to show the hidden menu and click the [Advanced Settings]
At this page, you will see a list of adapters sorted by their priority in descending order.
