Generate Ghibli Style Photos via Using the Image to Image Feature (Grok 3)
These past few days, Ghibli-style images have flooded social media, from WeChat Moments to X (Twitter). Even Elon Musk posted about this new feature in ChatGPT-4o. It feels like, overnight, AI has become capable of replacing most designers’ jobs.

This AI image editing feature (strictly speaking, image-to-image generation) is only available in the paid version of ChatGPT-4o, which costs $20 per month. I subscribed to ChatGPT Plus/Pro for six months two years ago, but my account was later banned due to payment issues—I was using a OneKey USD crypto card at the time.
However, we can actually generate Ghibli-style images for free using Grok-3. Simply drag your image into Grok-3’s chat box and enter the following prompt:
English: “Generate a Ghibli image based on this, keep as much detail as possible.”

Grok 3 is free for a limited amount of period, and there is a limit on how many times you can convert picture to picture

Of course, free users have usage quota limitations. But at least, you can use ChatGPT to perform image-to-image conversions e.g. Ghibli for free! And it seems ChatGPT does a better job then Grok 3.
